Jennifer Jolls Hired as Director of Communications and Community Relations

The FHSD Board of Education has approved the hiring of Jennifer Jolls as the new director of communications and community relations, effective July 1, 2020. Jolls comes to Francis Howell from the Connor Group in Dayton, OH, where she served as the director of communications, marketing, and reputation enhancement. She succeeds Chief Communications and Community Relations officer Matt Deichmann, who has announced his retirement after the current school year.  

In her most recent position at the Connor Group, Jolls was responsible for all internal and external communications and brand management for a $2.8 billion real estate investment firm. “I am thrilled to join one of the top school districts in the state of Missouri,” said Jolls. “Francis Howell benefits from dedicated and passionate students, teachers, parents, administrators, support staff, and Board members. I am excited to continue to improve the District’s communications efforts for each of these stakeholder groups, and find meaningful ways for the community to engage with our schools.”

Before her current position, Jolls served in a variety of executive positions in higher education, including vice president of external relations for Antioch College and the director of marketing strategy for Columbia College. She has a bachelor’s degree in public relations and marketing from the University of Central Missouri, and a master’s in higher education administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
