The end of April usually brings showers to the area, and maybe some warmer weather. But it also heralds the return of the State Solo/Small Ensemble Festival, in Columbia, Missouri, where the best band and choir students are invited to participate in a day of dulcet sounds. FHN Journalism Program Earns Accolades on Local and National Levels

The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) is fortunate to have outstanding journalism programs at our schools, giving us hope for the future of the Fourth Estate, or media. Each program is excellent, and Francis Howell North (FHN) High journalism students have been bringing home the hardware over the last decade. The wall on which the program hangs its awards has run out of room, but that doesn’t slow down these scribes.
