Kindergarten Enrollment

The Francis Howell School District offers rich kindergarten programs for children beginning at age five. The FHSD Kindergarten program emphasizes meeting the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of young children. Readiness skills in language arts, reading, math, music, visual arts, social studies, science, physical education and health are introduced and taught in a child-centered environment. Children learn to interact and cooperate with one another and gain self-confidence to be successful learners.

Registration Requirements
In compliance with Missouri laws, children must be five years of age before Aug. 1 to enroll in kindergarten. No early assessments will be administered. It is very important that all children be registered prior to entering kindergarten in August.
