Holly Avis named Francis Howell High School Assistant Principal

The Francis Howell School District announced Dr. Holly Avis as a new assistant principal at Francis Howell High School (FHHS), effective July 1, 2021.

Dr. Avis is currently serving as the Dean of Students on a one-year assignment at FHHS.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve the students, staff, and families of our Viking community,” Dr. Avis said. “I look forward to working collaboratively with others to continue the tradition of excellence at FHHS.”

She started her career as a language arts, reading, and achievement teacher for the Warren County School District and Wright City School District, consecutively. From there, she served as a L.E.A.P. administrative intern, teacher leader, and English teacher for FHSD.

Dr. Avis holds a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Leadership and a Specialist in Administration from Lindenwood University. In addition, she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education, a teaching certificate and a writing certificate from Missouri Baptist University.
