 | FHSD High School Return to Activities/Athletics Guidelines Posted on 06/29/2020 District high school activities and athletics will continue the process of returning to participation when Phase 2 begins on July 1. Student and staff safety is always a top priority of the Francis Howell School District and our schools. These guidelines were developed through the collaborative efforts of the District, medical professionals, and the St. Charles County Health Department.

 | FHSD 2020 Bus Inspections Posted on 06/24/2020 The Missouri State Highway Patrol is responsible for conducting annual safety inspections of all school buses across the state. Representatives of the MSHP Motor Vehicle Inspection Section were in Francis Howell on June 17 and 18 to inspect the 191 buses in the FHSD transportation fleet. After a thorough inspection of all systems from bumper to bumper, 189 buses met all required standards for an initial passage rate of 99%. Two buses had minor issues that were repaired quickly, and every FHSD bus passed the final inspection.

 | FHSD Playgrounds and Outdoor Facilities Reopen Posted on 06/12/2020 As the state continues to ease COVID-19 restrictions, the Francis Howell School District is reopening its playgrounds, tracks, and tennis courts beginning June 16, 2020. Patrons are encouraged to exercise caution when using FHSD’s outdoor facilities and should continue to follow health guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

 | Henderson Elementary Receives SW-PBS Gold Level Recognition Posted on 06/10/2020 Henderson Elementary School has received Gold Level Recognition through the Missouri Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (MO SW-PBS). This ‘Award of Excellence’ recognizes Henderson’s implementation of the multi-tiered system of support model, which creates “safe and orderly learning environments in schools, while improving the social-emotional outcomes for students.”

 | Board of Education Election Results Posted on 06/02/2020 In the June 2 election, candidates Mary Lange, Patrick Lane, and Doug Ziegemeier were elected to the Board of Education. This will be the second term for both Lange and Lane, and a first term for Ziegemeier.

 | School District Bond Issues Posted on 06/01/2020 In 2008, voters in Francis Howell approved a $78.5 million bond issue for several capital improvements, including the construction of the new Francis Howell High School. FHSD has not asked our voters to approve a bond issue in the past 12 years. For context, the other four school districts in St. Charles County have all passed a bond issue in the past three years. One of our neighboring school districts has passed four bond issues in the past ten years.
