The District is excited about the creation of a new Academic Advisory committee that will gather stakeholder input and feedback on the work of the academic department, primarily related to curriculum development. This group of 37 individuals includes 3 staff members, 3 community members, 1 student, and 2 alternates for the North, Central, and South regions of our district. It also includes representation from FHEA and the Board of Education, and a member of the curriculum department.

Thank you to the more than 150 staff and patrons who applied to be part of the committee! All applicants were blind scored on established criteria, meaning the names of applicants were hidden during the evaluation process. Those who weren’t selected are encouraged to apply again next fall. Look for those opportunities and other ways to serve the District in future issues of this newsletter and your school eNews.
