Maintenance and Custodian Appreciation Week

Operating behind the scenes, FHSD maintenance staff and custodians work diligently to ensure a safe, clean, and functional learning and working environment. This week, during National Maintenance and Custodian Appreciation Week, we celebrate and show our appreciation to these dedicated men and women.

FHSD is proud of our custodians and maintenance employees and is thankful for the hours they spend every day keeping our buildings and grounds well-maintained. They also quickly take care of anything that might need to be repaired – from flooring and mechanical equipment, all the way up to our roofs,” said Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris, FHSD Superintendent. “Their efforts are vital to the District’s daily operations, as well as to protecting the community’s investment in our school buildings, grounds, and equipment.”

From spotless classrooms and roof repairs to well-kept grounds, the FHSD maintenance and custodial staff work hard to keep our facilities and grounds clean, safe, and in good condition. Day in and day out, they arrive early and stay late to make sure that our school district is a great place to learn, teach, and work. Their focus on maintaining positive learning environments contributes to the success of all learners in FHSD.

Join us in recognizing all of our maintenance and custodial staff this week by letting them know how much everything they do is appreciated.
