 | Free Meals Extended Through Summer Posted on 12/04/2020 With new authority provided by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, the USDA will allow the Francis Howell School District to provide free meals to all kids in the community, through as late as June 30, 2021. As of Oct. 1, 2020, free breakfast and lunch has been offered to all children under the age of 18 living in the area.

 | FHSD Board of Education Candidate Filing Opens Dec. 15 Posted on 12/03/2020 Candidate filing for the April 6, 2021, election to the Francis Howell School District Board of Education opens at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 and continues until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. The three-year terms of current Board members, Chad Lange and Janet Stiglich will expire in April 2021.

 | FHSD honors veterans with celebrations at schools throughout the District Posted on 11/11/2020 The Francis Howell School District has a rich tradition of celebrating veterans for their sacrifice and service to our country. For years, current and former members of the military have been invited into our schools on Veterans Day to be recognized by students and staff. This year, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic prevented the typical gatherings, but our schools found other creative ways to celebrate and honor our veterans.  | Red Ribbon Week Goes Virtual Posted on 11/10/2020 Students across FHSD recently learned about the dangers of drugs and alcohol as they celebrated Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 23-31. The annual recognition week provides students with a variety of activities centered on drug prevention. Some schools found ways to incorporate virtual activities into their week of learning this year.
