FHSD Playgrounds and Outdoor Facilities Reopen

As the state continues to ease COVID-19 restrictions, the Francis Howell School District is reopening its playgrounds, tracks, and tennis courts beginning June 16, 2020. Patrons are encouraged to exercise caution when using FHSD’s outdoor facilities and should continue to follow health guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by following these recommendations:

  • Stay home and please DO NOT visit FHSD’s outdoor facilities if you feel sick
  • Supervise children using playground equipment and FHSD facilities at all times
  • Wear a mask if you cannot maintain 6-feet of separation
  • Maintain physical distance from people not in your household and avoid gatherings
  • Bring and use hand sanitizer often
  • Wash hands for at least 20 seconds as soon as possible after leaving
  • Be respectful of others and be safe

Residents are asked to refrain from using these spaces until the signs and caution tape have been removed. It should be noted that playgrounds will not be cleaned and that residents are using the outdoor facilities at their own risk. Restrooms and drinking fountains will not available.

The playgrounds and outdoor facilities have been closed since mid-March as a result of state safety regulations and guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Indoor facilities and competition fields will remain closed until further notice.
