All three high schools in the Francis Howell School District are among the top 25 in Missouri and the top 10% of all public high schools in the country, according to the U.S. News and World Report’s “2021 Best High Schools” list!

The rankings evaluated more than 600 public high schools in Missouri and nearly 24,000 schools nationwide.

FHHS is ranked #12, FHC is #21 and FHN is #23 – all the top four percent in the state. FHN is up six spots from last year and FHC moved up two spots from the 2020 report.

“This prestigious recognition is a result of the hard work our students, teachers, staff and administrators put in each day,” said Dr. Nathan Hoven, FHSD superintendent. “We are honored to be among the strongest school districts in the state and country.”

The U.S. News ranking methodology takes a holistic approach to evaluate schools, focusing on six factors: college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates. College readiness measures participation and performance on AP and IB exams.
