Meritorious Budget Award
The Francis Howell School District received the Meritorious Budget Award for FY2011-12 from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. This was the sixth consecutive year the District received this award. This award is given to school districts demonstrating excellence in budget preparation and presentation.

Budgets
The Francis Howell School District’s General and Special Revenue (Teachers’) Fund is the district’s operating budget and is used to fund operating expenses such as salaries and benefits for employees, supplies, and equipment, transportation and business services.

Audits
The District has received an unqualified opinion from its independent auditors for the past several fiscal years. The District reports its financial position in accordance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) principles, in particular, GASB Statement No. 34, “Basic Financial Statements-and Management's Discussion and Analysis-for State and Local Governments,” as amended by subsequent GASB Statements Nos. 36, 37 and 38.
