Smitha Milli, senior at Francis Howell North (FHN) High School, was recognized as the honorary student representative at the October 18 Board of Education meeting. At the beginning of the meeting Smitha was presented with the Superintendent’s Certificate from Dr. Pam Sloan.
Maintaining a 4.8095 grade point average, Smitha is currently enrolled in five advanced placement (AP) courses including: Literature, Psychology, Physics, Art History and Biology. In addition to taking the AP test for each of the five courses, Smitha studied computer science over the summer and will take the AP computer science test before the end of the 2012-2013 academic school year.
Smitha utilizes her leadership skills as President of the FHN Speech and Debate Club, Vice President of Mu Alpha Theta (Math) and Vice President of Science Club. She is also a staff member in the FHN journalism and publication programs.
For fun, Smitha likes to read. Currently, her hobby is reading Manga, Japanese Comic books which require you to read from right to left.
Smitha is undecided about a specific college or university, but plans to major in computer and cognitive science.
