The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) is pleased to announce Lisa Simpkins will be joining the Human Resources staff as Director of Human Resources. Simpkins replaces former director Dave Kuhar, who retired in the fall of 2012. Simpkins will begin her new role with FHSD on January 2, 2013.   more

Saeger Middle School Acknowledged for School-Wide Positive Behavior Support

Saeger Middle School is currently featured in the 2012 Department of Elementary and Secondary Education School-Wide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) Annual Report. The report documents the work of the Missouri SW-PBS statewide teams during the 2011-2012 school year across all regions of the state, in 202 districts, with over 700 schools implementing and impacting over 290,000 students.  more

The All-State Band auditions took place at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri.   more

Student Council students at Castlio Elementary held their Third Annual Turkey Teacher Fundraiser the week of November 12. Students raised a total of $1,749.81 to purchase toys for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program in memory of Castlio and FHC alumnus, U. S. Marine Lance Corporal Phillip Vinnedge, who lost his life in Afghanistan on October 13, 2010.   more

On December 12, 2012 at Warren Elementary’s quarterly 4R Night the theme was “Warming the Hearts of Others.” There were numerous activities, which indeed, warmed the hearts of everyone who participated. The surrounding community will also feel the warmth from all the help and donations from Warren Elementary. The activities were done by students, parents, and teachers in the community.   more

FHN Knightline Dance Teams Receive Awards

The Dial 3 Developmental Screening is intended to help parents determine the areas of experience that would best prepare their child, to provide an opportunity to have intervention where indicated in the screening, and to provide the school district valuable information on the best possible education for your child.  more

Saeger Students Compete in 2012 Knowledge Master Open Competition

On Wednesday, December 5, twenty-five gifted Saeger Middle School students competed in the fall Knowledge Master Open (KMO) competition. They finished sixth in Missouri and placed 148 overall out of 508 national and international teams. Saeger students were able to place sixth overall due to bonus points awarded for speed and response. They answered the third most correct answers in the state of Missouri with 180 correct answers out of 200, ending with ninety percent accuracy.   more

The Missouri Tri-County Regional Science and Engineering Fair (MTRSEF) will be held at St. Charles Community College in the College Center Building on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Students in grades K-8 are invited to have their project judged at the fair in one of four categories: Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry and Applied Consumer Science.   more

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Honors New Gymnasium at FHHS

The Francis Howell High School (FHHS) community came together on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly constructed 47,000 square feet gymnasium, which holds 2,000 seats and houses eight courts. FHHS families, students, staff, the Francis Howell School District (FHSD) Board of Education and FHSD Superintendent, Dr. Pam Sloan gathered in the center of the gymnasium floor as Dr. Dave Wedlock, FHHS principal, cut the blue ribbon in celebration of the $10 million construction project that was completed in October 2012.   more
