At FHSD, we are regularly monitoring the COVID situation and have made a commitment to update our guidelines and processes as new information comes forward. Earlier this week, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), and the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) updated their recommendations related to students wearing masks or face coverings.  Read more about Mask Guidelines Update

First Day of School - Now Aug. 31

On Thursday, the Francis Howell Board of Education approved a delayed start to the upcoming school year, making Monday, Aug. 31 our official first day for both virtual and in-person students. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the 2019-2020 school year ended abruptly and not the way we wanted. When our schools open this fall, they will look a little different.
