FHSD Hosts Monthly Market for Families in Need

The Francis Howell School District launched a Mobile Market during the 2017-18 school year in an effort to help feed local families in need. The Market was established in partnership with Sodexo USA and the St. Louis Area Foodbank. Through this partnership, the St. Louis Area Food Bank provides FHSD families with fresh and nutritious food, such as dairy, meat, and fresh produce.  Read more about FHSD Hosts Monthly Market for Families in Need

Education in the arts can help inspire the creative interests of students, as well as open pathways for career opportunities. Robert F. Kennedy was a renowned advocate for human rights and social justice, and would have plenty to say if he were still with us today. His legacy, however, still lives, through the voices of those who speak for what is right. One of those people, FHN student Sarah Zimmerman, has been honored by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization with an annual journalism award. MSHP Walkthrough Initiative
MSHP Walkthrough Initiative

For the 2018-19 school year, the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) is rolling out a “Walkthrough Initiative,” and FHSD schools will be taking part in this new program. When MSHP officers are available, they will stop by participating schools and walk the halls to engage with students and faculty. Officers will have guidelines they must follow to ensure their visit is not disrupting critical testing or other events.  Read more about MSHP Walkthrough Initiative
